Job Description

Master Electrician (Contingent Upon Contract Award)

Location: Austin, Texas


Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Master Electrician to support the performance of a contract in Texas. This position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and contract requirements.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and support the efficient operation of customer facilities.

 

This position is contingent upon contract award and government approval, where applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Diagnose electrical problems and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support facility operations by responding to service requests and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and work documentation.
  • Coordinate with facility management and other trades to support contract requirements.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Texas Master Electrician License in good standing.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years or more of commercial, industrial, or facilities electrical experience.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required government credentials, badges, or access requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal, military, or government facilities.
  • Previous experience in Operations and Maintenance (O&M) environments.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience supervising electrical personnel or subcontractors.
  • Working knowledge of generators, motor controls, switchgear, and building automation systems.

Contingent Employment Notice

This position is being recruited in anticipation of a contract award. Employment offers issued for this position are contingent upon the successful award and funding of the contract and any required customer approvals.

The Company reserves the right to modify, delay, withdraw, or rescind any employment offer if the contract is not awarded, funding is unavailable, the scope of work changes, or customer requirements are modified. If employment commences prior to final contract award and the contract is subsequently not awarded or otherwise becomes unavailable, employment may be separated due to the contract contingency not being met.
