There are no direct reports with this position.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision the Quality Control Inspector will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection in support of the Quality Management System. Employees in this job class will coordinate activities with other departments and work on both individual and team-based tasks including completing, reviewing and maintaining records, handling non-conforming materials, and participating in the Corrective and Preventative Action process. This job class requires knowledge of engineering methods, the ability to read and interpret product work instructions, method sheets, customer drawings and written standards/specifications; knowledge of Quality Management System GMPs and experience in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or other regulated environment; and the ability to document processing such as Certificates of Conformance, Quality Assurance procedures, and work instructions.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Review method sheets, customer drawings, schematics, and IPC-A-610 standards to inspect circuit boards, cables and mechanical assemblies.
2. *Perform mechanical quality inspections on incoming, in-process and finished goods or materials.
3. *Perform quality inspections on first articles, new products and revised versions of existing product.
4. *Accept or reject inspected items according to the product specifications and perform data entry in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
5. *Handle non-conforming material per procedures and disposition as appropriate and/or instructed by the Material Review Board or the customer.
6. *Analyze root cause of non-conforming products and material and work with management to correct identified issues per the Corrective and Preventative Action procedures.
7. *Inspect RMA returns, establish dispositions as appropriate, and maintain the data.
8. *Coordinate with distribution for the shipment of accepted product and finished goods items to customer.
9. *Complete, review, and maintain documents and records as required by policy, procedure, standards, and/or customers. This includes: production records, customer documentation, product information, certificates, logs, and QA documentation and records.
10. *Perform process audits as assigned to assure policies and procedures are being followed and compliant to all applicable standards and regulations.
11. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• One or more years of experience in inspection and production/manufacturing;
• Working knowledge and experience in an ISO 9001 environment; ISO 13485 is a plus;
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and customer specifications
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610, component and value marking, color codes, and mechanical inspection techniques, is a plus;
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from team, customers and others;
• Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English;
• Human relations skills to maintain effective working relationships with team;
• Effective customer service skills;
• Intermediate computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software;
• Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division;
• Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common sense skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associates
Bachelors in Business Administration or related field
High School Diploma or GED

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
• Utilizing keyboard
• Viewing computer screen
• Bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting and reaching
• May require climbing ladders and/or step stools
• Standing and walking
• Maneuvering in and around the worksite
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment with limited privacy and exposure to noise from others conducting business. The remainder of work is performed on job sites in the field, driving to and from worksite. Employees may be exposed to hazardous equipment, toxic substances, noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat.
