POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Warehouse Inventory Specialist performs clerical and physical tasks involved in the receiving, storing, issuing, and inventorying of equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools. This position emphasizes accurate recordkeeping, inventory reconciliation, and the systematic movement of materials. The Warehouse Inventory Specialist maintains inventory records, resolves discrepancies, and supports overall warehouse organization and accountability.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Verifies inbound shipments against packing slips to make sure the items match and report anydifferences while adhering to the Standard Operating procedure for receiving.
2. *Verifies parts issued from stock to the Work Order following the Quality Control process.
3. *Uses inventory software to process receipt and movement of materials through the system.
4. *Conducts regular cycle counts, including daily counts as assigned, and reconciles physical counts with system records; researches and resolves basic discrepancies.
5. *Prepares adjustment entries and reconciliation reports for supervisor review.
6. *Assigns and updates bin locations for newly received parts; ensures accurate put-away and labeling.
7. *Sorts or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice, examines stock to verify conformance to system receipt. Label material and put away part numbers in correct location.
8. *Stores material in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as
style, size or type of material to maintain organization and efficiency. Maintain aisle maintenance daily.
9. *Issues part numbers from stock, prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.
10. *Loads and unloads freight from trucks, storage containers or vehicles, sorts and stacks materials to be palletized for movement.
11. *Inspects materials and products for proper and secure packaging and maintains integrity and condition in bin locations. Re-stacks products or removes excess packaging material as needed.
12. *Compiles reports on location changes, daily reports including location changes, transactions, and reconciliation efforts.
13. *Processes real-time systematic transactions for moving inventory, including physical and system-only location changes, using scan guns and inventory software to ensure accurate recordkeeping and reconciliation.
14. *Travels locally to other facilities as required to support operations.
15. *Follows On-Call process.
16. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent time management skills.
• At least one year of experience in clerical, warehouse, or inventory control work.
• Familiarity with receiving and inventory reconciliation processes and procedures preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift, Scan Gun, and other material handling equipment preferred.
• Computer literacy and ability to look up and enter information using a computer.
• Ability to learn specialized software related to departmental operations.
• Communication skills to provide procedural and factual information, and respond to questions from customers, employees, and others.
• Customer service skills to act responsively to customer inquiries and requests; and escalate the more difficult matters appropriately.
• Knowledge of basic business English including vocabulary and spelling.
• Mathematical ability includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.
• Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common-sense skills.
• Minimal computer skills including - Microsoft Office - Excel and Word.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
• Maneuvering to and around equipment
• Bending, stooping, and reaching
• Utilizing keyboard
• Monitoring computer systems
• May include viewing computer and detailed work requiring close vision.
• Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds
• Communicating with others
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily performed at a customer’s location in an office / shop environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise and/or noise from equipment. Transporting to locations with the work site may be required. Employees may also be exposed to extreme cold or heat.
