POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Buyer II-Electronics purchases goods, services, equipment, and production supplies using MRP and purchasing requisitions. Employees in this job classification possess the business acumen to negotiate effectively and maintain profitable relationships. This job requires knowledge of materials purchased, purchasing best practices, and procedures.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Processes purchase orders for electronic components, goods, services, equipment, and supplies in support of customer requirements per MRP.
2. *Follows established procedures to contact vendors, obtain quotes, select suppliers, place orders, and expedite or escalate as needed.
3. *Maintains accurate PO records in PRIDE’s system and ensures proper documentation across financial systems.
4. *Coordinates with internal teams and freight forwarders to ensure timely and accurate procurement and delivery.
5. *Resolves procurement issues, including price discrepancies, damaged or missing shipments, billing errors, and product returns, by working directly with vendors.
6. *Communicates proactively with internal and external stakeholders regarding order status, issues, and resolutions.
7. *Supports the Procure-to-Pay process by collaborating with Accounting and Receiving to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
8. *Aligns vendor part pipelines to demand using planning tools and reschedule signal reports.
9. *Optimizes inventory levels by managing order timing, cancellations, expedites, and push-outs.
10. *Develops procurement metrics and performance reports for management, including cost savings, delivery performance, and team efficiency.
11. *Participates in meetings and presentations, sharing procurement data and insights with internal teams and customers.
12. *Supports supplier relationship management, including lifecycle event planning, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
13. *Maintains strategic supplier scorecards and provides performance narratives.
14. *Engages in procurement projects and training to support continuous improvement.
15. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Three years of experience in inventory, purchasing and/or accounts payable/receivable;
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, optimizing high-quality and most cost-effective procurement sourcing decisions;
• Experience working in a Service Support Supply Chain environment;
• Familiarity with Lifecycle planning events (NPI, part roll, discontinuance, and end of life support);
• Experience participating and leading projects aimed at providing balance results (E.g., cost reduction without compromising customer service level);
• Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes and practices, the manufacturing environment, and managing MRP transactions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by management, team, vendors, and/or customers;
• Human relation skills to build effective relationships and work with team, as well as internal and external customers;
• Intermediate computer literacy and skills to use business software and internet or data entry, drafting communications and documents, and preparing presentations; Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products, is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to work in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the top Electronic Distributors and their capabilities.
• Knowledge of business English including vocabulary, spelling, and correct grammatical usage and punctuation;
• Mathematical skills to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;
• Ability to be innovative in identifying cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities.
• Ability to establish priorities and demonstrated analytical skills to solve a wide range of business problems;
• Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise.
