SUPERVISES: This position does not have direct reports.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, the Senior SharePoint Administrator/Developer designs, administers, and manages our SharePoint Online environment within Microsoft 365, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance. Employees in this job class are responsible for the administration, configuration, development, and ongoing management of the SharePoint system. This job class requires expertise in SharePoint Online architecture, governance, and automation, along with the ability to effectively collaborate, troubleshoot, and problem-solve.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Manages the daily operations of the SharePoint Online environment, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
2. *Administers user permissions, Microsoft 365 groups, and external sharing settings to protect sensitive content and ensure proper access controls.
3. *Enforces governance policies and manages site lifecycles (creation, archival, and deletion) to support data compliance initiatives.
4. *Designs, develops, and deploys scalable SharePoint Online solutions using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
5. *Implements and supports automated integrations and workflows with Microsoft Teams, Power BI, and other Microsoft 365 services to streamline business processes.
6. *Monitors site usage, storage, and performance, reporting on activity, compliance, and security posture.
7. *Provides support, guidance, and training to site owners and end-users, promoting best practices for content management, collaboration, and site administration.
8. *Creates and maintains detailed documentation for configurations, custom solutions, governance policies, and user guidelines.
9. *Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business requirements and delivers SharePoint Online solutions that align with organizational goals.
10. *Stays abreast of trends, best practices and technologies for continuous improvement.
11. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Five or more years of experience in SharePoint online administration and development with Microsoft 365;
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by management, team, vendors, and/or customers;
• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with team and internal customers;
• Advanced computer literacy including expertise in SharePoint Online, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, Flow and related tools;
• Proficiency in SPFx, REST APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and PowerShell scripting;
• Knowledge of Power BI, Dataverse, or Azure services;
• Knowledge of governance, security, compliance, and records management to ensure regulatory compliance;
• Experience in SharePoint Online site architecture, information architecture, and taxonomy management, to optimize content organization and user experience;
• Strong command of business English including vocabulary, spelling, and correct grammatical usage and punctuation;
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, solve a wide range of business problems, and manage multiple projects;
• Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to address and resolve complex technical issues;
• Adaptability to respond to changing work priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Computer Science or related field preferred
A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.
CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED: Strong preference for Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate, or related Microsoft 365 certifications, along with relevant experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
• Viewing computer screen/monitor
• Keyboarding/Using mouse
• Answering phone/making calls
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a business office/home office environment. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
