SUPERVISES: There are no direct reports with this position. 

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:   

Under general supervision, the Delivery Driver replenishes product in customer facilities and vending machines in accordance with a pre-designated schedule and customer requests. Employees in this job classification will be responsible for fulfilling orders and managing product inventory levels, including the loading and transportation of products from warehouse to customer sites, and will also be responsible for troubleshooting minor issues affecting vending machines. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers, work independently, safely operate assigned vehicles, navigate to various locations, and maintain inventory accuracy. 

 

 

TYPICAL DUTIES:  

1. *Load and unload product into assigned vehicle in a safe, efficient, and organized manner, while maintaining a clean company vehicle.
2. *Record and adjust inventory levels using customer software on a handheld electronic device.
3. *Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport customer products to designated locations.
4. *Follow established routes and schedules by delivering products to customer sites in a safe, timely and professional manner.
5. *Troubleshoot minor vending machine technical issues using guides to diagnose and fix issues.
6. *Prepare and process outbound orders physically and systematically for delivery.
7. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be at least 21 years old;
• One year of clerical or customer service experience is desirable;
• Must have a satisfactory driving record;
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from customers;
• Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division;
• Computer literacy to use customer business software, the Internet, enter data/retrieve data;
• Basic troubleshooting ability;
• Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common-sense skills;
• Flexibility of schedule changes and work durations.

 

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

High School Diploma or GED

 

 

CERTIFICATES REQUIRED:  

The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:


Valid Driver's License 
 

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:

 

• Maneuvering in and around the warehouse
• Bending and stooping
• Lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
• Pulling or pushing up to 75 pounds
• May require use of a pallet jack
• Viewing Computer screen
• Operating delivery vehicles
• Climbing in and out of vehicle

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

Work is performed in a warehouse or distribution environment with forklifts, material handling, and production equipment, as well as in a vehicle while driving. May be exposed to noise from equipment and depending on external weather conditions, exposure to heat, cold, wind, and rain. This position requires non-traditional hours.
