POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Content Marketing Specialist assists with planning and producing marketing campaigns and materials for specific lines of business to drive leads and demand generation, thought leadership, and build a recognized and differentiated brand. Employees in this job class have experience performing rigorous discovery with internal clients and external partners, developing cost-effective marketing solutions, and managing multiple projects and deadlines. This job class requires hands-on experience in writing and producing content for web, print, video, and social media marketing campaigns and the ability to differentiate value propositions and target persona-specific messaging.
 
 
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. * Assist in creating marketing plans and strategies based on market characteristics, organizational goals, and target markets for assigned business lines and internal departments.
2. *Assist with working with internal subject matter experts to develop buyer personas and buyer journeys.
3. *Collaborate with marketing team to communicate consistent, differentiated value propositions and customer-centric messaging in all deliverables.
4. *Collaborate with marketing team to communicate consistent mission messages where appropriate and follow established processes and procedures.
5. *Create content for marketing campaigns for specific lines of business and internal departments to drive lead and demand generation and build a recognized and differentiated brand.
6. *Create content for web, print, video, PR, editorials, and social media marketing campaigns
7. *Collaborate with Content Marketing Manager to implement social media strategy to grow followings and engagement including drafting and scheduling social media posts.
8. *Assist with customer facing content created within the Marketing and Growth teams.
9. *Reinforce differentiated value propositions and customer-centric messaging in all deliverables.
10. *Assist with graphic design, video, and photography as needed.
11. *Support messaging and outreach for trade shows and community events.
12. * Analyze and report performance data for marketing campaigns and deliverables.
13. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Three or more years of professional experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, advertising, public relations, and social marketing platforms;
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel;
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and database, presentation software, desktop publishing, graphic design and layout;
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by management, team, vendors and/or customers;
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business’ various types of content;
• Photography and videography skills preferred;
• Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team and internal customers;
• Advanced computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, desktop publishing, graphic design and layout;
• Knowledge of business English including vocabulary, spelling, and correct grammatical usage and punctuation;
• Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization;
• Mathematical skills to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;
• Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business problems;
• Demonstrated customer service, common sense, problem solving and analytical skills;
• Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelors Business Administration or related field
A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Employees must have the ability to perform the following

physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:

• Viewing computer monitor requiring close vision (70-75%)

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. This position requires two days per week on site, with an option to work remotely three days per week. Occasional travel is required Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
