POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision the Contracts Administrator performs a variety of specialized responsibilities in the administration of government and commercial contracts. Employees in this job class provide customer service, reporting, monitoring, and contract performance. This job requires knowledge of service agreements and contract administration procedures, advanced administrative and organizational skills, the ability to coordinate work processes, design and format reports from database systems and apply specialized procedures.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. * Collaborates with Directors, Managers, and customers to administer the terms of Government and commercial contracts, as well as provide and support for contractual issues.
2. * Creates and administers service agreements for customers, monitors for renewal, initiates renewal and participates in the coordination of pricing exercises.
3. * Produces a variety of reports, spreadsheets and letters regarding contractual issues compliance, status, and deviations.
4. * Researches and resolves customer billing questions, complaints, invoicing errors, and requests for adjustments and verifications.
5. * Monitors contract modifications for incorporation in to contracts.
6. * Assists in preparing contract documents.
7. * Assists in monitoring Contract Deliverables to assure all are delivered timely and in compliance with contract requirements.
8. * Assists in monitoring contract availability of funds by contract on a monthly basis and notifies when the dollar amounts are approaching the established thresholds.
9. * Manages department document storage systems.
10. * Maintains detailed and organized files.
11. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of contracting processes preferred;
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by management, team, vendors and/or customers;
- Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team and internal customers;
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software;
- Knowledge of business English including vocabulary, spelling, and correct grammatical usage and punctuation;
- Mathematical skills to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;
- Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business problems;
- Demonstrated customer service, common sense, problem solving and analytical skills;
- Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field; or a comparable combination of formal education and work experience;.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise.
